In Nicaragua, no strict legal duty to train every staff member in first aid has been found for the Child Development Centres. MIFAN runs the CDI network and strengthens front-line staff capacities, but no published regulation imposes individual first-aid certification. Even so, trained staff remain the expected standard for caring for children safely.

Anaphylaxie et administration de médicaments

Nicaragua has no specific anaphylaxis or adrenaline framework for childcare, and adrenaline is available only as a prescription ampoule, with no auto-injectors on the market. When no rule governs it, the response depends on how prepared the staff are. It is therefore wise to train the team to recognise a severe allergic reaction, keep the family's authorization and safely store the child's specific medication.
